SUMMER PILLOWS & YARD 2020
We have canceled several trips since March, and staying home is definitely our new normal. It’s ok with me. I have enjoyed the extra time and not rushing from one thing to the next.
I spent some time going through old patio pillows and sold quite a few on instagram. I just received the new pillow ensemble and couldn’t be happier about it. Totally copied the Penny Morrison fabric from Kate Brodsky which I recently posted about. (here)
I sold several collections of blue and white pillows, and saved a few other favorites from years past for the groupings of chairs on the extended patio.
Love the pink pillows mixed with the old Pierre Frey Les Camees pillows. Perfect with the pink and green plants in my favorite planter ever! I photograph it almost everyday. Thanks to Vickie Lea Designs for getting it just right.
Check out this astilbe from my walk this morning. I think that’s what this is, although I’ve never seen this color. I’m obsessed with it and especially mixed with the white! Can you see the butterfly I caught in the photo?
I especially enjoy the color on my walks since I have transitioned my entire yard to green and white. We planted only white begonias this year in the beds. The planters have some pink in the plants, but that’s it for color.
In addition to the white begonia, we have white hydrangea all around the house and the yard. I think they are wonderful.
That magenta astilbe would be incredible with this mix, wouldn’t it?
Hope you are having a wonderful summer and staying safe and healthy. I am beginning to acquire a collection of cute masks thanks to instagram. Who would have thought this would be a “thing” just a few months ago. Strange times. . .
