PARIS DAY 4 HOTEL CRILLON

The boys couldn’t get to the Supreme store fast enough, and they were ready to venture out WITHOUT us. They stood in line for an hour to shop. Hillary requested that we visit the Four Seasons George V to see the holiday decor Jeff Leatham is famous for, and it did not disappoint.

It was over the top, as expected, exciting and so festive.

I was a little starstruck when Jeff Leatham reposted my story on his instagram!

We went to three Hermes stores looking for an apple watch with a single etoupe band. COULD NOT FIND!

I did find this scarf and fell in love with the embroidery on it! After seeing this, I am curious about having one of my own scarves embroidered, or better yet, doing it myself! This could be a very fun project. . . The price of the scarf with embroidery increases dramatically, so doing it myself for the price of the thread seems very appealing.

We walked down Champs Elysees to Hotel Crillon for lunch. This was familiar to us as we have stayed at the Peninsula before, which is pretty close to the Four Seasons, and we’ve walked this same path before.

Hotel Crillon was also decked out for the holidays!

Eating lunch at Hotel Crillon is not unlike dining at Versailles. So fancy.

Caesar salad with chicken. . . I mean wow.

While we were at Hotel Crillon, Hillary sent me this photo from Luxembourg Gardens. Gorgeous!! We planned to walk by after lunch.

I adore walking everywhere in Paris, and taking photos along the way.

We could smell this cheese shop about a block before we passed it. . .

IMG_4378.jpeg

And look how gorgeous the hotel looked when we arrived back. That night blue sky = Pantone’s Color of the Year!

This darling shop was a few doors down from our hotel and so fun to visit.

We stopped by the bar for a snack, and then ate at a cafe across the street. The quintessential tables for two are outside running along the perimeter of the restaurants, and the heaters underneath the awnings keep you warm and cozy. Pretty romantic :)

The hotel features a few contemporary art pieces by artist Fred Allard. We visited the gallery next door and enjoyed learning about his artwork.

IMG_4421.jpeg

I loved this Fendi suitcase! Can you imagine it in a NYC apartment? Or in the Naples condo?

IMG_4416.jpeg

In a world where shopping has become a status symbol, Allard’s sculptures are instantly an object of attraction as well as a timeless piece of art. He combines luxury brands and urban accessories, and they are permanently encased in resin. Check out the Rolex in one of the bags!

Wanted to visit Musee de l’Orangerie today, but we ran out of time!

Day 5 coming up next.
