PALM BEACH

Next up in this birthday trip series of posts is Palm Beach!

The drive from Miami is quick and easy, and before we knew it, we were welcomed by this iconic entrance.

Because of time constraints, we had to decide what was most important to us for this particular trip. The winners? Kips Bay Decorator Show House and Casa Gusto, each worthy of their own blogposts which will be coming up next. Although we did enjoy shopping on Worth Ave and a couple great restaurants, we had to put a few things on the list for next time including Branca, Celerie Kemble, and Lycette.

The Colony was recommended to us, but they were fully booked, so we were back at The Four Seasons, which is slightly off the beaten path. (Not right in the heart of Palm Beach by Worth Ave.) Honestly, the drive along the water to get back and forth was a favorite part of the trip.

This was our view from the room. . . Not bad!

The succulent situation at the hotel was fantastic!

The drive to Worth Ave from the hotel boasts the most beautiful turquoise water on one side and incredible houses on the other. When I say incredible, I’m talking about homes in the 30-50 million dollar range on Ocean Drive. We planned to park at The Colony for convenience and we were able to take in the charm and got some good pics.

Really loved this surprise under the canopy. . .

Once we parked, we walked all around, shopping and enjoying the gorgeous day.

Here’s a little something I wanted but did not take the plunge.

Hillary wanted to check out Stoney Clover Lane ~ pretty popular on instagram, etc. and Love Shack Fancy was right next door, also an admired attraction. Fun to see, but not really my cup of tea. (Not on Worth Ave, but another popular shopping area, Royal Poinciana Way)

We spent the following day at the Four Seasons pool after visiting the Showhouse. . .

Next up are posts on Casa Gusto and the Kips Bay Show House Palm Beach!
