Nashville Antique and Garden Show
I am finally here to share some photos from the Nashville Antique and Garden Show. This is long overdue!
I went with a small group from Omaha to see Martha Stewart and she was absolutely fantastic. Did you know she’s 80? I was shocked! So full of information, and she shares so freely and naturally, it is truly remarkable. We were thoroughly entertained and fully inspired!
The entrance was spectacular with gigantic panels of the most stunning green Gracie print. The green and white flowers were perfection. I think this might have been the prettiest show Nashville has ever done. The lighting is great in person, but horrible for photos. I really tried, but just know, these pics don’t do the gorgeous entrance justice.
Below is a photo from the Nashville Antiques Show instagram account showing the grandeur better than I could capture.
One of my favorite booths every year is Alcott Interiors. It is always fun to see what the local shop owner brings to the show. I can’t believe I have never been to her actual shop, but I think I buy something from her booth each and every year.
I thought about this painting and have been looking for a place for it at the condo, however I’m sure it’s already sold.
I was not as organized as I have been in years past about matching my photos with vendors, but here are a few photos from walking the show.. .
Nashville does a great job infusing a garden element into their show. If I lived in Nashville, I would have been loading up my car!!
Local gardeners showcase their work in a big way. Some of the displays interspersed with the dealer booths are so over the top. This little “shed” was my favorite. It felt very European and like an enchanted garden.
Those red branches stole the show!
Check out the tiny interior.. The wallpaper and the chandelier were wonderful!
More beautiful booths!
Jesse Davis always delivers!
Fun to see B Viz Design and her beautiful textiles.
One of my favorite new finds was a booth visiting from Atlanta, The Silk Purse. I fell in love with these Italian finials and purchased all the orange ones she had left, plus a dark cherry one. I would have also bought the mint green ones had they still been available. I am obsessed with them!
The plan was to sell them in the shop, but sometimes I place things in my house to photograph, and the beauty is too much to part with.
I packed these cuties in my carry-on for the flight from Nashville to Naples. . .
Then repacked for the flight to Omaha!
I just don’t think I can part with them! The dark cherry is still available, if interested!
The shop owner said her vendor is not carrying them anymore, so I’m happy I was able to get a few before they are gone for good!
Also very obsessed with these birdhouses! Wondering about selling them in my shop. They are made in England and are very high quality. The large sizes are wonderful. They come in two sizes with the larger size measuring just over 4 ft tall.
A few random thoughts to share:
I have replaced my kitchen rug many times since we have lived in this house, and I am certain this is my favorite, by far. Although a little more pricey than some of the previous options, oh so worth it! Just love it from Loom & Co.
I believe I’m very late to this game, but omg Rothy’s really are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever walked in. Wow. I just ordered this color, and they are perfect for Florida.. They feel like I’m wearing slippers. Absolutely love them!
I have more photos from the show, but I’ve run out of steam. I’ve reserved an entire folder of photos from one booth and that will be coming up next in a separate post.
Funny, I saw the familiar faces of our favorite antiques dealers who come to Omaha, but I was too busy chatting to get a single photo from their booths. Exchanged hugs instead of snapping photos with Trace Mayer, Thomas Fortner, Jayne Thompson, and Tony Scornavacco. Adore them all and so happy to see them.
More coming up!
