LG CONSERVATORY & MORE
After returning home from Florida Sunday night, I was excited to head down to Lauritzen Gardens for an Antiques Show meeting on Monday morning. I set the appointment for 11am on my calendar while I was in Florida, so the time switched to 10am Omaha time. Showing up an hour early for our meeting allowed me to tour the Lego exhibit and the Conservatory!
The rhino is built to signify the vanishing species. . .
I thought that was it, but the tour continued in the Conservatory. The glass house did not disappoint.
The rainy day outside was a beautiful backdrop.
This is the photo I took when I looked up and was overwhelmed by the beauty. I had forgotten that I was still holding my Starbucks cup and subsequently poured the remaining coffee down the front of myself. Before the meeting I was headed to. But look! #worthit
Walking through this warm climate with lush green everywhere, I felt like I was back in Florida. The red shrimp plant sealed the deal.
What an unexpected adventure! I loved it! A perfect activity for a rainy day or any day! Especially after returning from sunny Florida to cold and gray weather in Omaha. If you are close by, head down to Lauritzen Gardens for a treat.
PS The Omaha Antiques Show meeting was amazing. I can’t tell you how excited I am for the 2020 Show! Please visit the website to purchase tickets, books and get more information. Check back later for a post highlighting the speakers: Timothy Corrigan, Cathy Kincaid, and Bronson van Wyck!
