ACK BEACHES | GALLEY BEACH
When our friends had to cancel, I warned my husband that this trip to Nantucket would be extremely low key. We’ve already visited most of the touristy type attractions, and with not a lot on our list, he would really have to concentrate on getting into vacation mode. It’s not easy for him!
To my surprise, he rented a jeep, for the weekend, and we drove that thing around with the top down like a couple of teens. We visited every beach, and saw every lighthouse. One of the beaches allows driving on the beach after partially deflating the tires.
We loved driving around the neighborhoods near the beaches.
In some neighborhoods, we would be walking around and find an entrance like this one.
On our way to the Great Point Light, we stopped at the Wauwinet Inn which is lovely and has more of a resort feel.
One of our favorite dinners was at Galley Beach Restaurant which is literally ON the beach. Part of the restaurant seating is actually in the sand! We sat under cover, but this shows the tables in the sand, closer to the beach.
This view only got prettier as the night went on…
This is the one shot I took of a dinner plate consisting of all locally grown vegetables! (Dune)

And don’t forgot Chanticleer and Galley Beach!
