My last post reminded me how much I adored Mark D. Sikes when he was in Omaha for the Lauritzen Gardens Antique & Garden Show last month. I feel like everyone already knows how great he is, but here's a refresher for fun :)

For me, Mark D. Sikes paved the way to my love of Instagram. One of my first follows, he has continued to impress and inspire me, and I have been liking his posts for years! He is also the founder and editor of the well-known lifestyle blog: Mark D. Sikes: Chic People, Glamorous Places and Stylish Things. But this is only a taste of what Mark D. Sikes is all about. The man has created an empire for himself.

Mark began his career working in visual merchandising and marketing. After two decades of success, Mark started his own interior design firm. His style is classic, blending perfectly All-American and timeless interiors with both modern and European sensibilities. Mark's chic home in the Hollywood Hills was first on the cover of the December/January 2012 issue of House Beautiful, and more recently on the cover of the July/August 2014 issue of Veranda.

It's easy to see how these images and his popularity went viral.

This is his dining room. I am in love with the Brunschwig & Fils leopard print (Les Touches) on the drapery. In fact, I used it for slip covers for my dining room chairs!

We loved having Mark in Omaha, along with Sophie Donelson, Editor in Chief of House Beautiful. Here they are with the Event Chair, who is wearing Mark's skirt.

During their presentation, they invited some local patrons up to the stage who were wearing Mark's clothes! Really cute.

Mark seems to be popping up all over. If you have the opportunity to meet him, don't miss the chance!
