nashville: what I brought home

Just when I am positive I can't find space for one more thing, I find space for one more thing.

My purchases have finally arrived from the Nashville Antiques & Garden Show...

This collection of aqua colored glasses from Don Fields and Craig Ringstad Antiques was certainly not on a list of things to look for, but the display literally stopped me in my tracks! After that, it was only a matter of time... I took photos, I stared, I touched, and before long it became clear that the glasses would need to find a space in my home.

They have a sort of want-and-need-to-stare-at-them-all-day quality to them...

There were many more glasses if you are interested! Follow the contact info from their website.

Next, I added a couple pieces of majolica to my collection. I have collected pieces through the years from Linda Ketterling, Lynda Willauer, Dearing Antiques, and most recently Hedgerow Antiques...

It's a lot of plates. My friend Emily and I are equally obsessed with plate collections. We text each other photos of plate collections we've hung with the hashtag #plated. Loved sending her this one!

Husband was not happy about this addition. He says he will have to get used to it.

Yes, he certainly will.

Added a pair of Delft chargers to my office... a beautiful pair from Caroline Faison...

I love the yellow rim. I already had a pair of yellow-trimmed delft plates from Pear Tree Antiques in Kansas City, so when I saw these chargers, I knew they were meant for me...

(Have had this plate collection for a while...)

Taking #plated to a whole new level over here!

While doing all this decorating, I was reminded of this architectural fragment which has been hiding under my bed since December. I came across this beauty on 1st Dibs and was thrilled to see it was from Cote Jardin Antiques in Washington DC ~ one of my favs! I've been too nervous to bring it out for fear of my husband's reaction. (He has been especially excited about saving lately...) I waited until he was out of town to do the deed. While the cat's away...

I realize that I do not need any more pillows, but the fabric! I simply couldn't resist...

Bought a couple more bees from Trace Mayer for my bee collection which will some day be incorporated into a plate collection. Boy, I sure do love collections.
