If you are a follower of this blog, you have seen my house a million times over. Probably not all at the same time, but most of these photos will be familiar. Interestingly enough, I have received a substantial amount of email requests from devoted followers requesting that I do an inspired home edition of my own house. 

Well that's easy! Let's start in the kitchen :)

I've had approximately one million different pillow scenarios on this couch and am currently working on yet another one. The antique aubusson pillows are usually the show stoppers, and are currently playing a starring role… But they are about to get switched out! I'm actually thinking of having a pillow sale right here on the blog with the ever growing pillow collection I have acquired. 

The teapot below is an example of aptware which an entire post was devoted to.

This hutch had majolica plates and no fabric when I first started posting.. Then came the lamps, the lampshades, the upholstered interior, and the new display pieces... 

That tapestry is fabulous! One of the prettiest I've ever seen! But I have found a painting I'd rather have, so it's for sale… Email me if you are interested!

Getting ready to cover these adorable Nancy Corzine chairs in a green Fortuny… Can't wait to post that update!

The doorway to the left of the fireplace goes through the Butler's Pantry into the office… And the doorway to the right goes through a hallway with a powder room on the left and the Master bedroom on the right...

I have big plans for the Butler's Pantry… 

Wallpaper, beams on the ceiling, light fixture - not any time soon, but the ideas are all there!

Just moved those green pots to the top of the armoire...

The office also has a big re-do list. These cabinets will be painted green or blue, the wing chairs will be reupholstered, wallpaper added. Plus a few other details like interesting molding on the ceiling...

The dining room…

Slipcovers are currently being made for these dining room chairs. They will bring a much needed happy and cheerful vibe to the room. I've always thought this room felt like a Haunted House. .. Is it the chandelier? Hmmm...

Hallway to the laundry room...

I am not sharing the upstairs because, I promise you, it's not very inspiring. I have grand ideas of course. I'd love to replace the carpet with hardwood floors, and I have beautiful fabrics and wallpapers all organized in bags and pull them out regularly for fun. I am a nervous wreck that by the time I can follow through with anything up there, everything I have picked out will be discontinued! (That has happened!)

Of course I would love to design and decorate without a care in the world, however I also realize that if I never did another thing, I would be eternally grateful and completely happy. 

At this point, I am very content with the main level updates I continue to work on, and I look forward to doing room by room upstairs in the years to come. Let's face it, I will be decorating this house forever. I used to look forward to the day when I would be "finished" ~ ha! I have realized over the years that the day will never come. It is my passion and my hobby and it brings me an unusual amount of joy and satisfaction. And I love sharing every step of the way with you!
