evolution of hillary's apartment part 2

God love my husband! I seriously love his guts. After the big weekend of the Lauritzen Gardens Antique and Garden Show, Hillary and I flew to Chicago to finish her move. My adorable husband packed up his SUV with all the big stuff we didn't ship, and drove to the Hancock building where we awaited impatiently.

Here's what we unpacked...

These charming wood panels that have been stored in my basement for years, waiting for the right place to be hung. It's here!

The mirror from my patio that swung around too much in windy weather and made us cringe. It's perfect here!

(Also take note of the bees from the Antique Show...)

Added a couple more MC pieces...

And her newly acquired antique box...

A darling MC tassel from our friend Kyle Robino, and another bee on a box...

Found this monogram on Etsy. Hillary painted it to match her towel monogram...

Books and other things to fill empty spaces...

Pair of paintings from Kyle Robino...

All the Hermes boxes I've been saving for years. ..

Posters from her old apartment with such happy colors!

Her trunk and TV ~ a very important addition to the apartment...

The rest of the bedding!

Sconces that never found the perfect place in my house...

And let's not forget the view...

The framed Hermes scarf that has hung above her bed at home for the last decade, and the inspiration for the apartment decor...

More of the same...

Not sure if you can see the rainbow... surely a sign of good times ahead!

Although there is ample closet space, the shoe situation is a bit of a problem... For now, they are here...

Our old family room rug!

And again, the spectacular view...

I can't possibly tell you the satisfaction of leaving my child in an apartment that I myself would love to live in. What a blast to be 23 and living in Chicago in the cutest apartment ever...

So happy for her and can't wait for her to move back to Omaha :)
