the show

OMG, the Show. I can't believe the weekend has finally come to an end. Here are a few shots from the fabulous weekend. In case you haven't been paying attention, I speak of the Lauritzen Gardens Antique & Garden Show, aka the 10th anniversary celebration, aka the magical weekend filled with whimsical inspiration, beautiful antiques, and an all-star cast including Carolyne Roehm, Kathryn Ireland, Eddie Ross, Danielle Rollins and Harrison Howard. How sweet it is to witness a vision come to life...

Paper lanterns were a fun change...

Moss was attached to large cardboard panels with glue spray. The wood panels from my basement were a nice addition to the moss wall...

Moss was also used to "charm up" these chairs...

The needlepoint pieces with Harrison Howard designs were done by a wonderful and dedicated volunteer ~ a truly talented and benevolent woman... I adore and admire her so much!

On to the Show...

Trace Mayer and his bee wall were a huge hit in Omaha.

It's easy to get lost admiring the intricacies of each and every tiny creation. Although I call it a "bee" wall, there are things other than bees represented ~ dragonflies, butterflies, bears, dogs, foxes... all equally charming.

Adore these fabulous prints from Earle D. Vandekar of Knightsbridge Inc.

Really adore and really fabulous!

Loved these sconces...

Stunning patina on this piece from Clark Graves.

Linda Ketterling has the most beautiful majolica!

Sallea Antiques has the most beautiful boxes in the world!

And I love their displays...

Parrin & Co from Kansas City

Jayne Thompson... one of my favorite pieces at the Show!

Soloman Suchard... a favorite stop of mine!

 More from Trace Mayer...

Beautiful pillows from Thomas Fortner Antiques...

Such a beautiful show! Although I am disappointed I wasn't able to get a shot representing each and every exhibitor, I feel fortunate to have had my camera out long enough to capture what I did. I simply didn't have time to do the usual browsing as I was a busy doing things a Chairperson does... trying to please everyone, worrying, panicking, changing shoes, being exhausted, etc.

Coming up next, very special guests and what I brought home!
