My mom and I have never been fans of mums or poinsettias which poses a slight problem when shopping for house plants in the fall and winter. My sister-in-law loves mums and poinsettias and thinks we are stupid. So this year, I decided to give mums a try. I picked up a few plants and pumpkins and about fell over when they rung me up at the hardware store... "That'll be $27.99" ~ something I could get used to!

FYI: To the left of the mum sits my dining room chair... the real chair is getting recovered and painted. It's going to look SO different!
