island shops

A fun group of my friends recently celebrated a special birthday on Fripp Island, South Carolina. What a wonderful place to be! Beautiful beaches, charming homes, and a laid back vibe I could get used to. A real dandy place to relax except for one little hiccup: deer! While riding in golf carts from one place to the next, the amount of deer roaming around was not normal. More alarming were the guests feeding the deer from their golf carts ~ definitely unnatural. Not sure what's up with that, but it totally creeped me out.

Ok, back to charming and beautiful...

On one of our day excursions, we stopped at a collection of island shops in St. Helena, SC, aka Frogmore.

First stop, Octopuses, a shuper shell shop.

As you can see, the shops are filled with charming coastal home decor. Just a few miles from historic Beaufort, and on the way to Fripp, they are a must stop-and-shop.
