anthro inspiration 2

I was reminded of one of my very first posts last weekend while at Parent's Weekend in North Carolina. Back in the day, I posted about the charming inspiration found in Anthropologie stores around the country. Since it rained literally the entire weekend, we found a friendly shopping mall for an activity. Seriously, the name of the mall is Friendly Center. Anthropologie is a wonderful place to be while it's pouring outside...

I believe they were antiques since I can't find them online. Anthro does a great job of injecting antiques into their store decor. The best part? Many are for sale!

Anthro calls this the Artemis Bow Mirror. I call it a sconce. Very charming either way.

I have seriously considered committing myself if I am even tempted to purchase another piece of pottery ever again in my lifetime... That's how much I love pottery.

Thank goodness my daughter is almost ready to decorate an apartment in NYC... These Dripped Olea Pots handpainted with colorful splatters are by LA artist Caitlin Dinkins and are perfect for a hip New York apartment! (If there's room...) Buy them here.

I must admit, while perusing the website, I was surprised scratch that, shocked at some of the prices...

This charming vase is high, but still somewhat affordable at $548, here...

Affordable especially when compared to the price of this gorgeous mirror, lace-etched by Jo Gibbs at $5800! (here) A definite disappointment. (Price being the only disappointing thing about the mirror!)

I get it. It's art. Be that as it may, it's still seems a high price for Anthropologie.

Here is a better example of what I expect to find price-wise at Anthro... here, here and here

I love that there are an abundance of artists represented at the Anthro stores and online. Depending on the artist, the prices can fluctuate dramatically. The good news is, there is always a nice selection of awesome and affordable at anthropologie!
