enticing tulips

What a gloomy day it was yesterday! After all the sun and heat we've had, a cool and dark day was unexpected and felt just fine. I passed by my friend Jan Buckingham's house and oh my goodness, I'm not sure I've ever seen so many tulips! The drive by was actually quite dangerous and potentially life threatening as I couldn't take my eyes off the gorgeousness. I finally pulled my eyeballs away, promising myself I would go back, park, and stare at my leisure. I called Jan to inform her of my creepy stalker ways, and she graciously welcomed me to check out the backyard as well... SO lucky for us!

Jan's lovely dwelling has provided both an inspired home post as well as an inspired garden post for TFT readers, and I couldn't wait to get home and add another post to the line up of lovely.

Even on a gloomy day, the tulips couldn't be prettier!

Check out these parrot tulips...

Can you imagine looking out at this? Stunning.

I concentrated on tulips during this visit, but believe me when I tell you, Jan is a professional gardener. This woman knows what she's doing. Beauty other than tulips was everywhere!

Here are the tulips that endangered me while driving...

How, pray tell, is a driver expected to pay attention to the road with this kind of tulip distraction? I took a fair amount of pictures with the intent to satisfy my preoccupation, in turn making the road a safer place for all.

Thank you Jan, for sharing your fantastical tulips with us!
