mexico

Thanksgiving in Mexico is my new favorite thing! My family gave up turkey and stuffing to spend the week in San Jose del Cabo... a hard trade to make, but worth it in the end. Making the choice to spend the holiday with only our immediate family, away from family and friends was not an easy one. But there's something magical about this place that made it all worthwhile. Being together, spending quality time together, was much easier in Mexico than it would have been at home... and minus the stress and hustle and bustle of the holiday in general, we truly enjoyed ourselves!

La Palmilla is paradise times ten. We all agreed this is our favorite hotel we've ever experienced... Check out the entrance to our rooms!

And here's the view from the rooms.... truly beautiful!

Back up the steps to the winding trails running throughout the property...

More gorgeous scenery...

To the beach...

On our way to the pool...

To the Spa...

The Boutique is filled with luxurious names like Ferragamo, Missoni (not the Target variety) and Christian Louboutin. We bought suntan lotion.

To one of the restaurants...

Another pool with the ocean behind...

Our anniversary is over Thanksgiving weekend, (our 24th this year) and what a surprise we found when we returned from dinner!

Our kids got such a kick!

So fun to be together!

The landscaping was spectacular with flowers everywhere... Here's a sampling of some of the gorgeous exotic flowers... I took tons of photos, but you can get the idea from these...

As always, so good to get away, and so good to get home! Just back from a trip, I'm feeling overwhelmed with things that need to be done... grocery store, getting my house in gear for the holidays, and everything else going on this time of year, but I am reenergized after that family vacation and couldn't be more grateful!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
