I have loved this house from the exterior for decades.

Deanna is a dear friend with a clean and fresh and simple style. She is always smartly dressed and understated, and her home reflects her style to a tee. Nothing is overdone. It's clean and classic.

Deanna worked with her architect from Atlanta as well as a local architect to design the most wonderful new spaces for this old house. The kitchen is the center from which several rooms can be accessed. This photo is taken from a butler's pantry with the dining room behind. The sun coming through that awesome kitchen window was wonderful but made these kitchen shots a bit dark... but you can definitely get a feel for the space and the beautiful architecture.

Standing in the kitchen, looking to the right, is the family room.

The character in an old home is so warm and cozy... the archways, the charming doors, the baseboards and hardwood floors, the light fixtures...

A huge thank you to Deanna for being such a gracious hostess. She has a very busy schedule juggling design work, kids, and volunteer jobs and does each with style and grace. I am thrilled to include this home in the inspired home series!

 Thank you Deanna!
