magical mackenzie-childs
What an enchanting afternoon! The Omaha Symphony Guild put on a fabulous event featuring Mark Bergadon, National Sales Director for MacKenzie-Childs. Mark also made a special appearance at the Gift Gallery in the world famous, and our very own, Borsheims. These events seem to have brought the sunshine back into my life. I was inspired beyond belief by the incredible MacKenzie-Childs presentation and then by intimate descriptions and recommendations from Mark at Borsheims. Plus, the actual sun is shining in the actual sky today which in and of itself is quite remarkable.
Charming is not a strong enough word to describe the spectacular grounds where MacKenzie-Childs pieces are hand crafted. The farm is complete with cows, lambs, chickens and ducks, vegetable gardens and flower gardens, sunsets, a barn and a farmhouse straight from the pages of a story book. The Aurora setting is a dreamy environment... a paradise where artists can create... the surroundings a constant inspiration. Mark admits, "Every time I drive up to our 65 acre farm in Aurora, NY, I pinch myself." Well, I can tell you right now I'd like to have given him a little pinch myself - he could not be more charming or adorable!
So check out some of the "table art" done by local designers...
Pretty, right? During lunch Mark gave his presentation and I only wished for a recliner and popcorn. The whimsical photos drew ooohs and aaahs from the audience for the duration. I can assure you a field trip to Aurora is in my future... the sooner the better.
This adorable keychain... a take away gift from the luncheon!
On to the Gift Gallery at Borsheims!
A very special thank you to Borsheims for allowing me to photograph the beautiful displays... not something security typically allows. If adding a piece of MacKenzie-Childs to your home is a must, visit Borsheims HERE or MacKenzie-Childs HERE
There was no way I was leaving empty handed! Here's what I added to my collection...
My new front door mat - just in time for Spring!
For dog treats...
Bath mat...
My new favorite ~ Mark talked me into this one! I seriously want all new dishes in this pattern... A magical afternoon indeed!
